Ingredients

  • 6 mint leaves plus additional for garnish
  • ¼ cup blackberries about 6 to 8 medium berries
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 2 to 4 oz soda water
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients:

  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle 6 mint leaves to release their oils.

Add Blackberries:

  • Add ¼ cup blackberries to the shaker and muddle again until the blackberries are fully smashed.

Mix the Cocktail:

  • Add 2 oz white rum, 1 oz lime juice, and 1 oz simple syrup to the shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and shake until cold.

Serve:

  • Place ice into a glass. Strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass.
  • Top off the glass with 2 to 4 oz soda water. Garnish with additional mint leaves and blackberries.
