Ingredients
- 12 Egg
- 2 qt Milk
- 1.5 Cup(s) Superfine Sugar
- 1 qt Half-and-half
- 1 Pint(s) Rye Whiskey
- 1 Pint(s) Cream
- 0.33 Pint(s) Rum
- 1/4 Pint(s) Peach Liqueur
Instructions
Prepare the Egg Yolks:
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks until they’re thick and pale yellow. Gradually add 1 cup of superfine sugar, whisking until smooth.
Add Spirits:
- Slowly pour in the rye whiskey, rum, and peach liqueur, continuing to beat until the mixture is fully blended and smooth.
Add Milk and Half-and-Half:
- Stir in the milk and half-and-half until combined.
Whip Egg Whites with Sugar:
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks. Gradually add the remaining ½ cup of sugar, continuing to beat until the mixture holds stiff peaks.
Whip the Heavy Cream:
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until it reaches soft peaks.
Fold and Combine:
- Gently fold the whipped egg whites and whipped cream into the eggnog mixture. Stir lightly until smooth and well combined.
Chill and Serve:
- Cover and chill the eggnog in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving. Pour into punch cups and sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon for garnish.
